Training Course
Newcomers to the game want to get playing as soon as possible, we offer
a ‘get-you-started lesson’ which is free to everyone. This lesson takes about an hour and is a quick run
through of Lesson 1 of the training programme. Members can take advantage of further coaching or training,
free of charge.

Introduction and Getting you Started

1. Safety
- a. Never throw a boule if a player or spectator is in front
- b. Warn when shooting or throwing a high point
- c. Never throw a boule to catch - roll them along the ground
- d. Stand 2m away from thrower and the jack
- e. Don't walk across other games
2. Basic Rules
- a. Playing distances
- b. Size of jack and throwing circle
- c. Different weight and size of boule.
3. Choice of Boule
- a. Correct weight

- c. Try other boules before buying

Membership

you play 3 times a week or once a year the cost is the same.
